Mike Trucano is president of Black Hills Novelty Co., a purveyor of coin operated vending machines. Trucano earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1978 from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA in 1979 from Southern Methodist University. He lives in Deadwood with his wife, Cynthia, and their two children, Matthew and Molly. Trucano is involved in many local and regional charitable and service organizations.

Robert was raised on a ranch 30 miles southwest of Winner. He attended a one room rural elementary school, graduated from Winner High school, and went on to major in Mathematics at the University of South Dakota. He lives on his ranch in Winner with his wife Judy of 45 years and has three grown children. Robert was a member of the National Guard for more than 30 years and was mobilized to "Desert Storm" where he commanded over six thousand combat engineers in support of that operations. After the ground war, he became a Theatre Engineer and had engineering responsibility for several countries in southwest Asia and retired as a Brigadier General. He has served on many boards and committees locally and statewide and was a senator in the South Dakota Legislature.

Mike McDowell has served as General Manager and CEO of Heartland Consumers Power District since May, 2004. Heartland is based in Madison. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas, holding a BS degree in Education and Master of Public Administration degree.
McDowell has worked in the electric utility industry for over 30 years. He has been CEO of both industry trade associations as well as operating electric utilities. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Public Power Association, the national association of public power utilities, and chaired policy committees of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). McDowell has held leadership positions in numerous community organizations, including two four-year terms as a local elected official. He is currently serving on the board of directors of the Lake Area Improvement Corporation, a private/public economic development agency based in Madison.
Mike and Barbara McDowell are natives of rural communities. They have been married for over 35 years and currently live in Madison, South. They have two adult sons living in Shawnee, Kansas and Norman, Oklahoma.

Don is a Watertown native and a 1980 graduate of Watertown High School. He attended the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He is currently employed by Winthrop Resources Corporation. He and his wife Kelly have three children, Nathan, Alyssa, and Ryan. His interests include exercising, boating, and golfing. He is active in the community and serves on the board of various foundations and organizations.

Jerry was born and raised on a ranch in Ziebach County and currently resides in Rapid City with his wife. They are the proud parents of six grown children. Jerry began his lifelong career at the Rapid City Journal selling newspapers at the age of 12. His only detour from the newspaper business came during World War II when he spent a year and a half in the Navy. Jerry retired in 1992 as the Circulation Editor and Vice-President - more than fifty years making sure everyone's newspaper got delivered. Jerry is a graduate of National American University and a four-term South Dakota State Senator from District 34. He has served on many local and state boards and commissions, as well as being a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. Jerry believes, "I feel community service is the rent you pay for the space you occupy in that community and I have tried to keep my rent paid up by staying active in community affairs."
