Rochford Road Information Meetings Planned

Hill City, S.D. - The South Dakota Department of Transportation announces two public information meetings about roadway improvements on South Rochford Road in Pennington County.

On Thursday, March 1, SDDOT, in cooperation with Pennington County, will hold an open house community meeting to answer questions on the upcoming South Rochford Road Environmental Impact Statement process and how it relates to previous efforts to improve South Rochford Road. The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. MST at the Rochford Volunteer Fire Dept. in Hill City.

On April 19, SDDOT, in cooperation with Pennington County, will hold an open house Public Scoping Meeting as part of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The public will have the opportunity to learn about this phase of the project, discuss information about important issues and local concerns, and ask questions from officials with Federal Highway Administration, SDDOT and Pennington County.
