Highway 83 Reconstruction to Begin  

MOBRIDGE, S.D.  – Crews will begin work on U.S. Highway 83 near the Akaska junction in Walworth County on Monday, April 23. 

Work on the two-mile stretch of highway will include removal of existing pavement, subgrade repair and resurfacing with asphalt concrete. 

Flaggers and a pilot car will be provided to guide traffic through the project during working hours. Two-way traffic will be restored for evening and weekend travel.  

Motorists are reminded to slow down in construction zones and be aware of slowing traffic, equipment, and highway workers.
