South Dakota Highway 17 Near Lennox To Close
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will close a portion of South Dakota Highway 17 near Lennox on Wednesday, June 27, for construction work.
The closure is expected to last one month so crews can reconstruct a box culvert under the highway and improve the roadway surface.
Traffic on Highway 17 will be detoured east on Highway 44 to Interstate 29, then north on I-29 to Highway 42, and finally west on Highway 42 back to Highway17.
The project will also include asphalt milling and an asphalt overlay when widening and other work are complete.
The prime contractor on the $4.8 million project is Duininck Construction, Prinsburg, Minnesota.
For more information, contact Travis Dressen in the Sioux Falls area office of the Department of Transportation at 605-367-5680.
