Construction on 26th Street at Interstate 29 in Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Starting Monday, July 16, the South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin pavement replacement work on 26th Street, west of Interstate 29 in Sioux Falls.
The project includes replacing the concrete on 26th Street between I-29 and Marion Road.
Crews will remove the existing concrete pavement in the eastbound and westbound outside driving lanes and shoulders of 26th Street.
Once the outside lane work is complete, traffic will be switched to the new surface, and the inside lanes and median will be resurfaced.
A single lane of traffic will be maintained for each direction on 26th Street with the use of lane closures; access will be maintained to local businesses.
The project is expected to be done by early November.
The prime contractor is D&G Concrete Construction Inc. of Sioux Falls.
