Construction To Begin on I-229 and Benson Road Interchange Ramps
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Starting today, (Aug. 22), the South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin concrete pavement repairs on the Interstate 229 and Benson Road interchange northbound and southbound off-ramps.
Crews will be breaking and removing the existing damaged concrete pavement and replacing it with new concrete pavement.
Northbound I-229 traffic will be reduced to a single-lane through the work area.
The Benson Road off-ramp will also be reduced to a single-lane of traffic through the work area.
Southbound I- 229 / Benson Road off-ramp traffic will be maintained on the interstate ramp with the width of the ramp being narrowed through the work areas.
The project is anticipated to be completed by Friday, (August 24).
The prime contractor is Dakota Contracting Corporation of Sioux Falls.
