          I-229 and Rice Street Interchange Ramp Construction 

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation began concrete pavement repair Sept. 6 on the Interstate 229 and Rice Street interchange northbound and southbound on- and off-ramps near Sioux Falls.

Crews are breaking and removing the existing damaged concrete pavement, followed by placement of new concrete pavement.

Interstate ramp traffic will be maintained on the interstate ramps with the width of the ramp being narrowed through the work areas.

The project is anticipated to be completed by Sept. 21.

The prime contractor is Dakota Contracting Corporation of Sioux Falls.
