Traffic Signal Work in Mitchell
MITCHELL, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says work to install new traffic signals at the intersection of Havens Avenue and Burr Street in Mitchell is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept. 11).
The outside lane in each direction at the intersection will be closed and traffic controlled by four-way stop signs while the new traffic signals are installed.
The four-way stop condition is scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m. with the new signal schedule to be in operation by 9:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect occasional traffic congestion near the work area and should be alert for construction equipment, workers, and suddenly slowing traffic.
The prime contractor is Interstate Improvement, Inc., of Faribault, MN.
