I-29 Northbound Lanes Re-opening near Brookings

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will be re-opening the Interstate 29 northbound lanes from mile marker 123.8 to mile marker 139.8 near Brookings later today (Oct. 11).

Motorists can still expect lane closures on I-29 in the southbound and northbound lanes for approximately three additional weeks while crews construct detour ramps for next years planned construction of the southbound lanes.  

Traffic should use caution and slow down when driving through the construction zone and expect suddenly slowing and merging traffic.
