I-90 Westbound Lanes Re-opening Near Mitchell

MITCHELL, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will re-open Interstate 90 westbound lanes from the James River to Mount Vernon on Friday, Oct. 26.

Motorists can still expect lane closures on I-90 in the east and westbound lanes for about four weeks while crews construct detour ramps for next years planned construction of the eastbound lanes.  

Traffic should use caution and slow down when driving through the construction zones and expect suddenly slowing and merging traffic.
