Highway 40 Bridge Rehabilitation Projects To Begin
KEYSTONE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation will begin a highway improvement project on Monday, Nov. 19, to rehabilitate eight bridges on South Dakota Highway 40 between Keystone and Hermosa.
During construction, traffic will be restricted to one lane at each of the bridge locations, with a maximum width of 12 feet. Over-width loads will need to use alternate routes.
Traffic will be controlled with stop signs and flaggers, as needed, with minimal delays for motorists.
J.V. Bailey Company from Rapid City is the contractor on the $2 million bridge rehabilitation project.
