Highway 87 Closed For Tree Removal
CUSTER, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation is advising motorists that Highway 87 in Custer and Pennington Counties is closed from three miles south of the junction with U.S. Highway 16/385 to the junction of Highway 89 at Sylvan Lake until Saturday, March 29, for contract removal of mountain pine beetle infested trees within Custer State Park.
Access to the Sylvan Lake Area is still available via Highway 16A and Highway 89. The Needles Highway will remain closed until further notice.
