Bridge Work on Highway 65 South of McIntosh

MOBRIDGE, S.D. – On Monday, April 15, rehabilitation of two bridges and a resurfacing project on Highway 65 south of McIntosh will begin, according to the Department of Transportation.

Work on the bridges includes guardrail replacement, bridge rail modification and epoxy deck seals.

Following completion of the bridge work, the contractor will begin an asphalt concrete resurfacing project on Highway 65 from south of the Grand River to the junction of Highway 12.

During construction, both bridges will be reduced to one 12-foot lane of traffic controlled by stop lights.

The prime contractor on this $5.3 million project is McLaughlin & Schulz, Inc. from Marshall, Minnesota. BX Civil of Dell Rapids will be doing the bridge work.

The bridge work is expected to be completed mid-summer with an overall completion date of November 1.
