Department of Transportation Seeks Public Input into Interstate 190 Exit 1 (North Street / Silver Street) Interchange Project

 

 

RAPID CITY, S.D. - The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Rapid City Metropolitan Planning Organization, will hold a public open house on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, to gather public input on the upcoming Interstate 190 Exit 1 (North Street / Silver Street) Interchange reconstruction project in Rapid City.

 

Discussion topics will include the I-190 Exit 1 (North Street / Silver Street) Interchange project, including the Environmental Assessment and the Section 4(f) De Minimis Impact Finding. SDDOT and consultant staff will be available with displays to discuss the proposed project and answer your questions. Information will be available on the acquisition of right-of-way, relocation assistance, and the environmental, social and economic effects of the project’s location and design. During this time, you will also have the opportunity to present written comments. Written comments will be accepted until June 23, 2013.

The meeting will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Howard Johnson Hotel, located at950 North StreetinRapid City. A brief, summarizing presentation will be made at approximately 6:00 p.m. followed by an open house discussion with SDDOT, City, and Consultant staff. There will be a Spanish language interpreter available throughout the meeting to assist individuals with limited English proficiency.

 

Notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that this public meeting is being held in a physically accessible place. Please notify the SDDOT ADA Coordinator within 48 hours of the public meeting if you have special needs for which this agency will need to make arrangements.
