Traffic Changes To I-90 In Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – On Friday afternoon, July 26, traffic will be restored to the newly constructed westbound Interstate 90 on-ramp in Sioux Falls and the Dike Drive detour will be removed, according to the South Dakota Department of Transportation.

Once the westbound I-90 on-ramp has been re-opened, I-90 traffic through Sioux Falls will be placed head-to-head on the newly constructed westbound lanes so construction can continue on the eastbound lanes.

Cliff Avenue interchange ramp traffic will continue to be maintained, but the width of the ramps will be reduced during construction.

Motorists should expect delays through the construction areas and stay alert for workers, equipment, lane closures, lane shifts and suddenly slowing traffic.

The work is part of the $17. 4 million Interstate 90 and Cliff Avenue interchange project that has an interim completion date of Nov. 8. The prime contractor is T&R Contracting, Inc. of Sioux Falls.

Complete road construction information can be found at www.safetravelusa.com/sd or by dialing 511.
