Change In Signal Operation On Mountain View Road And Jackson Blvd. In Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation is asking motorists to pay particular attention to the new signal operation at the intersection of Mountain View Road and Jackson Boulevard in Rapid City.

The recent reconstruction of the intersection has required a change in how the signal operates.

The addition of the left turn lane from Mountain View onto Jackson Boulevard has necessitated a change in the signal operation requiring the northbound traffic to stop.

Northbound motorists on Jackson Boulevard will get a red light and will have to stop when triggered by a vehicle making a left from Mountain View onto Jackson Blvd.

Motorists who have driven this route for many years are not used to seeing this light and are asked to double check the signal and make sure they are not entering the intersection on a red light.
