I-90 Construction to Resume East of Wall

WALL, S.D. – On Tuesday, April 1, 2014, Loiseau Construction will resume work on Interstate 90 east of Wall.

Construction will include removing the temporary crossover from the median at Exit 121. Other work includes grading, seeding and mulching the slopes from mile marker 116 to 123.

Single-lane traffic will be maintained for both the eastbound and westbound lanes at Exit 121 with a 16-foot width restriction.

Motorists are asked to watch for suddenly slowing traffic, trucks entering and exiting the work zone, construction equipment and workers adjacent to the Interstate.

The speed limit on I-90 will be reduced to 65 mph through the work zone and 45 mph when workers are present. Motorists are reminded that fines are double in work zones.

Work is expected to be complete by April 14, 2014.

The prime contractor on the $15.7 million project is Stanley J. Johnsen Concrete of Rapid City.
