BRANDON, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says the reconstruction of the Interstate 90 bridges just east of Brandon Exit 406 are scheduled to begin on Monday, March 20.
I-90 eastbound traffic will be redirected to the westbound lanes in a two-way traffic configuration through the end of July.
Once the eastbound bridge is complete, work will begin on the westbound side. The substantial completion date for the project is Nov. 3.
Motorists are asked to slow down through work zones and be prepared for suddenly slowing, merging and stopped traffic as well as construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lane.
The prime contractor on this $7.4 million dollar project is Duininck, Inc. from Prinsburg, Minnesota.
