MOBRIDGE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says a project to apply a bridge deck polymer chip seal application to Blue Blanket Creek Bridge on Highway 1804 near Mobridge began today (Sept. 26).

Blue Blanket Creek Bridge is located 2.5 miles south of the Highway 12/1804 intersection east of Mobridge. The chip seal will begin on Tuesday, September 26, and take approximately 30 days to complete.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction and guided through the project with the use of stop signs.

Motorists are asked to slow down in the construction zone, be aware of suddenly slowing and stopped traffic as well as construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lane.

Louis-Company, LLC from Lee’s Summit, Missouri is the prime contractor on the $69,000 project.
