Department of Transportation and City of Vermillion Seek Public Input into Vermillion Master Bicycle Plan Study

VERMILLION, S.D. - The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the City of Vermillion, will hold a public open house as part of the Vermillion Master Bicycle Plan.


This open house public meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at the Vermillion Public Library (18 Church Street) in Vermillion.


The Vermillion Master Bicycle Plan study will address a full range of options and issues related to bicycling within the city of Vermillion. The purpose for the open house is to introduce the study to the public, present upcoming events for community involvement, and discuss needs and possibilities for expanding bicycle transportation in Vermillion and the surrounding area.


For those who cannot attend the meeting or would like additional information on the study, information will be made available online after the meeting at http://rdgusa.com/sites/bikevermillion.


The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the location indicated. A brief, summarizing presentation will be made at approximately 5:45 p.m. followed by an open house discussion with SDDOT, city and consultant staff. The opportunity to present written comments will be provided. Written comments will be accepted until Nov. 30, 2017.
