ADA Upgrades on Omaha Street in Rapid City

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says work will begin on ADA upgrades on Omaha Street on Monday, June 17, 2019.


Upgrades will be taking place at 11th Street, 8th Street, 7th Street, 5th Street, 3rd Street, 1st Street, Maple Street, Waterloo Street, Steele Avenue and Brennen Avenue. Work will begin at 11th Street followed shortly by 8th Street and Maple Street.


Travelers should expect lane closures and traffic delays on Omaha Street.


J V Bailey Company is the prime contractor on this $1.35 million project.  Final completion of this project is scheduled for May 22, 2020.
