Change to I-229 Asphalt Patch
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Due to rain showers overnight, the asphalt patch work that was to take place first on Tuesday, then on Wednesday night on Interstate 29 between Minnesota and Cliff avenues has had to be postponed to tonight, Thursday, October 12.
ASCO Asphalt Surfacing Co., a subcontractor for the South Dakota Department of Transportation, will begin work at 6:30 p.m. and is expected to be done by 6 a.m. Friday. Traffic will be reduced to one lane, and motorists should expect delays and allow extra travel time.
Drivers should be cautious of construction vehicles and workers within the construction zone on northbound I-229 between Minnesota and Cliff avenues. Motorists are reminded that fines are double in the work zone.
For more information, contact the Sioux Falls Area office at 605-367-5680.
