I-229 Concrete Repair Work In Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Concrete repair work on the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls – between Louise and Western avenues – will begin Monday, Oct. 24, and take three weeks to finish.

The project will be done by Buskerud Construction, Inc., a contractor for the South Dakota Department of Transportation.

Various lane closures will occur during the repair period.

Motorists should expect delays in the construction zone and stay alert for workers, equipment, lane closures, lane shifts and suddenly slowing traffic.

Motorists are reminded that fines are double in the work zone.
