Chamberlain Truss To Open on Friday

Mitchell, S.D. - The truss bridge over the Missouri River between Chamberlain and Oacoma on the Interstate 90 loop highway will open Friday, Nov. 4. 

Construction began in July, 2009, to repair, resurface, and paint the structure.  Crews are scheduled to complete the remaining work and open the bridge Friday morning.

A dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Monday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. on the east end of the bridge.

Heavy Constructors, Inc. of Rapid City was the prime contractor.
